This work is inspired by my recent return to classical art theory and my intuitive use of oils to explore themes of femininity, girlhood and belonging. Like many, I find great comfort in processing life's vicissitudes with my girlfriends over a drink of wine - capturing the essence of our gatherings was the ultimate goal for this painting.
